Our Mission...
Our mission is to give the
hunter what we feel is a TRUE 100% South Dakota
wild pheasant hunt. In saying this, 90% or better
of the lodges that are claiming a wild pheasant
hunt are actually releasing birds and are still
calling their hunts "South Dakota wild
pheasant hunting!"
We do not, have not, and
will not ever release pen raised birds. Now
in saying this, we harvested nearly 2,500 wild
roosters in 2003 and more the year before.
We
attribute this to the great habitat, knowing
how to hunt the great habitat, good communication
skills between the hunters, guides and great
dogs.
We want people to know that
if a South Dakota wild pheasant hunt offers
you more than the legal bag limit of three birds
a day, they hold a preserve license and you
are shooting at birds that you could have killed
at your local hunt club back home.
Now knowing that, we
hope you to incorporate that we are taking hunters
on a true wild South Dakota pheasant hunt. The
hunters will see virtually hundreds of birds
in a day, but the trick is getting those birds
cornered into good shooting distance. We feel
great population and good habitat get you nothing
without guides who know how to hunt. We stress
safety first right along with fun.
